The CB01 control board is fitted inside Vokera boiler models Maxin 24E and Maxin 28E. It has the Vokera part number 8481.
This printed circuit board, or PCB, is what controls the safety critical and performance levels of the boilers, such as safe start up and shut down, flame monitoring and modulation of the heat output.
The CB01 could be considered to be the brain of the boiler in that it is designed to ensure the boiler operates in a fail-safe mode at all times. It is connected to and controls all of the important components and parts within the boiler, including the gas control valve, pump, fan, flow switch, thermostats, air pressure switch and burner ignitor and flame sensor.
The connection of the cables and wiring loom from these components to the CB01 is via push on terminals. Through the combination of these components operated by the CB01, the burner is only permitted to light when conditions within the boiler are safe.
The control PCB also regulates the flame in response to the heating and hot water demand, by continuously monitoring the heat exchanger thermostats.
Since the Maxin boilers are combination boilers, that generate instantaneous hot water via a plate heat exchanger, the CB01 controls the action of the boiler when it detects that there is a demand for hot tap water.
The PCB is powered by the mains electrical supply that is connected to the boiler. |
