PCB for Promax 15 HE model Baxi boiler.
This printed circuit board, or PCB, is what controls the safety critical of the boilers, such as safe start up and shut down and flame monitoring.
The 241838 could be considered to be part of the brain of the boiler in that it is designed to ensure the boiler operates in a fail-safe mode at all times. It is connected to the sequential control PCB and in turn to parts within the boiler, including the gas control valve, pump, fan, flow switch, thermostats, air pressure switch and burner ignition and flame sensor.
The connection of 241838 is via push on terminal header. Through the combination of these components operated by the 241838, the burner is only permitted to light when conditions within the boiler are safe.
The PCB is powered by the mains electrical supply that is connected to the boiler. |
